BetterPosture vs SuperShrimp
SuperShrimp costs the same $29 once, runs on three operating systems, and makes posture a game. BetterPosture is Mac only, free at the core, and deliberately not a game.
We make BetterPosture, so read this knowing that. SuperShrimp is a one-time-purchase posture app for Mac, Windows and Linux that turns sitting up into XP, levels and a leaderboard. Prices and claims checked October 2026; every number links to its source at the bottom.
Where SuperShrimp wins
- You use Windows or Linux as well as a Mac. BetterPosture is Mac only.
- You buy during its launch pricing. $17 is less than BetterPosture Pro, and the regular price is the same $29.
- Points, levels and a leaderboard keep you going. SuperShrimp is built around them.
- You want to use your iPhone as the camera. Continuity Camera is supported.
- You want something with a launch behind it. SuperShrimp placed third on Product Hunt; BetterPosture has not launched there.
Where BetterPosture wins
- The core coach is free. You pay only for Pro, and only once.
- No XP, no leaderboard, no streak. One calm card when you have drifted, and nothing to lose on a day off.
- Calibrated to your own upright and slouch, so your desk and camera angle are the baseline.
- A Progress window that shows improvement, not a score to defend.
- A privacy page listing every host the app can contact, with a Little Snitch test.
